Sea Wave Granite Pavers — Durable Outdoor Paving for Driveways, Patios & Walkways

30mm thick cut-to-size granite tiles for hard-wearing outdoor projects

Pale Pavers cut to size in Sea Wave granite for driveways and walkways, Chinese white stone with grey veining. 30mm flamed tiles with matched tone, slip-resistant and hard wearing, pallet packed for paving projects.

Flamed Sea Wave granite pavers are cut-to-size outdoor paving stones, produced as standard in 600x600x30mm tiles for driveways and walkways that have to last for decades. If you are comparing options, our granite pavers buying guide walks through the same size, finish and installation points we apply to every Sea Wave order.

Sea Wave is a Chinese granite with a semi-white base crossed by dark-grey, wave-like veining — the soft, flowing movement that gives the stone its name. As a dense siliceous igneous rock, it absorbs very little water and holds a textured, slip-resistant face underfoot.

Why Sea Wave Granite Works for Outdoor Paving

  • One production batch per project — tiles cut and sorted together, so veining and tone stay consistent across the full paved area (natural stone still shows controlled variation).
  • Testable performance you can specify — low absorption, high strength and a textured face, with a batch report supplied on shipment.
  • Controlled dimensions — calibrated thickness and square, true-cut edges lay quickly on site with minimal adjustment.
  • Coordinated outdoor package — matching pool copings, steps, wall cladding and cubes from the same stone and batch.
  • Factory-direct lead times — cut, finished, packed and shipped from our own Shuitou operation.

Available Sizes

Sea Wave pavers are cut to project dimensions from the same Guangxi quarry blocks that carry the semi-white base and dark-grey wave veining. Standard stock sizes suit most driveway and plaza layouts, and custom cut-to-size pieces keep the wave pattern continuous across edges and changes in level.

Finishes & Laying Patterns

The right finish keeps the dark-grey wave veining visible while giving the surface the grip it needs for each application. All finishes are produced in our Shuitou factory from the same Sea Wave blocks, so tone stays consistent between tiles.

FinishTextureBest for
Flamed (thermal)Rough, high-grip, softened veiningDriveways, pool surrounds
Bush-hammeredCoarse, uniform textureTraditional paving, slopes
Natural splitUneven riven faceRustic courtyards, setts
TumbledSoft aged edgesFrench-pattern and patios

Laying patterns are chosen to suit the scale of the space and the size of the module. Small setts and cobbles suit tight curves and borders, while large-format tiles give plazas a cleaner joint grid.

Material Selection for Sea Wave

  • Blocks are selected from the same Guangxi quarry lot to hold the semi-white base and dark-grey wave veining within a narrow range.
  • Each block is checked for natural fissures and discoloured zones; areas where the wave veining turns muddy or uneven are not used for facing.
  • Blocks are graded so a single project reads as one continuous wave pattern rather than mixed strong/light batches.

Natural stone shows controlled variation; a retained block sample sets the agreed tone for the order.

Finished Paver Inspection

Every paver is checked before crating so the semi-white base and dark-grey wave veining reach site in the same condition they leave the factory. Dimensional tolerances follow the relevant granite-paving standards, with tighter limits available when the project specifies them.

ParameterToleranceStandard
Length & width0 to -1.5 mmGB/T 18601
Thickness (12-50 mm)+1.5 / -1.0 mmGB/T 18601
Surface flatness (L 400-800)<=1.50 mmGB/T 18601
Angle/squareness (L>400)<=0.60 mmGB/T 18601
Edge tolerance, sawn (P1)±4 mmEN 1341
Diagonal difference (D1)<=6 mmEN 1341

Stricter project-specific tolerances can be agreed at order confirmation.

  • Edge chips: a defect up to 10 mm long and 1 mm wide, no more than one per metre; marks under 5 mm x 0.5 mm are not counted.
  • Corner chips: up to 5 mm x 2 mm, no more than two per tile; marks under 3 mm x 1 mm are not counted.
  • Cracks are not accepted; tone across one batch must be substantially consistent.
  • Each tile is checked for chipped edges, missing corners and finish uniformity before crating; a reference sample is kept per batch.

Packing, Weight & Container Load

Sea Wave has a bulk density of 2,680 kg/m³, so the freight weight is predictable and easy to check against container payload limits. The figures below give a quick reference for paving thicknesses used in driveway, plaza and courtyard work.

ThicknessWeightImperial
20mm (3/4in)~54 kg/m²~11 lb/sq ft
30mm (1-1/4in)~80 kg/m²~16 lb/sq ft
50mm (2in)~134 kg/m²~27 lb/sq ft
  • Fumigated seaworthy wooden crates with reinforced corners; tiles stacked on edge, not flat.
  • Add roughly 8-12% for crate and dunnage weight in shipping calculations.
  • A full 20ft container of 30mm pavers typically holds about 260-300 m² before the payload limit; a full-container order is the lowest landed cost per m².
  • For smaller projects, mixed crates combine pavers with matching copings, steps and setts from the same batch.

Exact load depends on dimensions, crate configuration and destination payload limits; we plan the crate list to your port.

Typical Test Values

Landscape architects specify Sea Wave granite because the performance is testable, and every export batch is sampled for absorption, density, flexural strength and frost-cycle resistance before it ships. That test-backed toughness is the core value of these driveway pavers — the batch test file travels with every shipped container.

PropertyTypical valueTest method

Production, Packing and Project Support

Three things decide how a paving order arrives on site, and all three are controlled inside our Shuitou factory. First, every tile for one project is cut from a single production batch and laid out for tone matching before packing, so color stays within one controlled lot across phases of a large development. Second, our cutting team nests your layouts to optimize yield from each block, which trims waste and lowers the cost per square meter you actually pay. Third, crates are built with edge rails and corner protectors so the sea voyage ends with zero chipped edges — the claim we stake every container on.

Mesh modules and pattern sets are sorted and labeled in the factory finishing area, so laying crews on site open a crate and follow a packing list instead of sorting stones on the ground.

Minimum order is 100m² per size and finish; a full 20ft container holds roughly 300–400m² of 30mm tiles depending on dimensions and crate configuration. Standard lead time is 18–25 days, with ocean freight from Xiamen to most major ports taking 25–35 days; crates are fumigated and palletized for forklift handling at the destination warehouse.

Frequently Asked Questions

What thickness do you recommend for vehicular paving?
For residential vehicular areas we recommend 30mm tiles set on a compacted aggregate base with a sand or mortar bed. The 600x600x30mm format carries passenger traffic comfortably on a properly prepared base. For commercial entrances or heavier loads, 50mm thick tiles and small split setts are available on request.
Are these pavers slippery when wet?
No. The thermal and bush-hammered finishes open the surface texture, so the paving offers sure footing even when wet. We always recommend a textured finish for pool surrounds, sloped paths and rainy climates rather than a smooth polished face.
How do the pavers perform in cold climates?
Granite is one of the safest natural stones for winter regions: its very low absorption leaves little water inside the tile to expand, and every export batch is sampled for frost-cycle resistance before packing. Laid on a free-draining base with the recommended slope, Sea Wave tiles survive repeated winter cycles without spalling.
What is the MOQ and lead time for a container order?
Minimum order is 100m² per size and finish; a full 20ft container holds roughly 300–400m² of 30mm pavers depending on crate configuration. Standard production lead time is 18–25 days, plus 25–35 days of ocean freight from Xiamen to most major ports. Crates are fumigated and palletized for forklift handling at destination.
