KD-No-389 — Custom Quartz Bathroom Vanity Tops
A full 40-foot high-cube container of custom quartz bathroom vanity tops, fabricated in white carrara-look, cream, grey and beige for a North American stone surfaces distributor — CNC cutouts, hand-polished sink edges, and piece-by-piece QC from our own factory.
Twenty-plus years, one exclusive quartz vanity top program
KD-No-389 is one repeat production program in a relationship that started back in 2005. The customer is a stone surfaces distributor that has been supplying bathroom vanity tops to more than 600 retail showrooms across North America for many years, and Apexstone is their exclusive designated quartz countertop manufacturer in China. Every stage — CNC routing of faucet and sink openings, wet edge polishing, piece-by-piece inspection with hand-polished sink cutouts, foam packing, fumigated timber crating and container loading — is completed inside our own quartz factory with nothing outsourced. This shipment left as one full 40-foot high-cube container, around 26.8 tonnes nett of fabricated tops.
What made this project complex
Consistency Across Custom Colours
With more than ten customer-developed colours repeating across orders, batch-to-batch match is everything. Each colour is locked through pre-production sample rounds, and any production batch that falls outside the signed-off standard is redone before it can reach packing.
Wide Range of Widths and Layouts
A single container mixes tops from 31.5 to 73.5 inches wide in single and double undermount layouts, across 2cm and 3cm stock. CNC programming and fixture setup keep every faucet hole and sink opening positioned to the drawer's specification.
Hand-Polished Sink Cutouts at QC
Machined cutout edges are not left as-cut. During the piece-by-piece inspection pass, the inner edge of every sink opening is hand-polished smooth and glossy — a labour-intensive check done one top at a time so the tops pass the distributor's showroom-level inspection.
Zero Outsourcing, Full Traceability
CNC cutting, wet polishing, piece-by-piece QC with hand-polished cutouts, packing and loading all happen inside our own factory. Keeping the whole chain in-house means every top can be traced back to the operator and the inspection pass, with no third-party variation.
Ocean-Freight Packaging
Around 26.8 tonnes of fabricated tops cross the ocean in one container. Full foam wrap, pallets and fumigated timber crates, plus secured loading, keep the polished surfaces and edges protected from handling and moisture.
Built to the distributor's cabinet range, cut and finished in-house
The program covers made-to-order quartz vanity tops in both 2cm and 3cm thickness, laid out for single and double undermount sinks. Top widths run from 31.5 inches to 73.5 inches to suit the distributor's full range of bathroom cabinets, and edge profiles are offered in Eased, Full Bullnose and Ogee. Faucet holes and sink cutouts are all CNC machined for consistent positioning, while every sink opening is hand-polished smooth on the inside edge. The range is produced in more than ten customer-developed colours, described here only in generic terms such as white carrara-look, cream, grey and beige to protect the customer's own colour range.

Twenty-one years of repeat orders is the quality proof
KD orders run on serial numbers, not custom drawings — there is no one-off design to point to. What proves the factory is the relationship itself: the same distributor has placed stable repeat programs since 2005 for 600+ showrooms, and that trust is earned one consistent container at a time. Below is what we do on every standard quartz program, and the manufacturing strengths behind it.
Repeat orders since 2005 — the clearest quality record
A distributor supplying 600+ retail showrooms cannot absorb a bad batch, yet has kept the program running for twenty-plus years and designated us their exclusive quartz manufacturer in China. For a standard product, that continuous trust is the best evidence of strict, repeatable quality control.
Colour locked through pre-production sample rounds
More than ten customer-developed colours are maintained across orders. Every colour goes through sample rounds first, and any production batch that misses the signed-off standard is redone before it can reach packing — protecting the distributor's own colour range.
Piece-by-piece inspection, with hand-polished cutouts
Every top is checked by hand before it leaves the line, and the inner edge of every sink opening is hand-polished smooth and glossy as part of the inspection pass — a showroom-level finish done one unit at a time.
The whole chain in one factory, nothing outsourced
CNC cutouts, wet edge polishing, QC, foam packing and container loading all run inside our own workshop, so every top traces back to an operator and an inspection pass with no third-party variation.
26.8 tonnes delivered in one FCL, no damage
Each top is fully foam-wrapped on pallets and packed in fumigated timber crates, then secured floor to ceiling in the 40-foot high-cube container for ocean freight to North America.
OEM-grade fabrication for distributors and private label
We fabricate to the customer's cabinet range — widths from 31.5 to 73.5 inches, 2 cm and 3 cm stock, single and double undermount layouts, Eased, Full Bullnose and Ogee edges — with CNC-positioned faucet and sink cutouts and consistent batch-to-batch colour.
Repeatable standards across seasons and containers
Multi-year programs depend on the same standard arriving order after order. Sample-locked colours, piece-level QC, in-house production and export packaging built for repeated handling are how a standard-product relationship runs for twenty-plus years.
Six stages, all inside our own factory
Colour approval comes before any production cut. Each custom-developed colour goes through multiple pre-production sample rounds; any batch that misses the agreed colour standard is redone rather than shipped, and production only starts once the customer signs off the sample. On the floor, the same order moves through one uninterrupted chain inside our own workshop — from CNC cutouts to a loaded container.

Packing and Container Loading

A repeat program running since 2005
A partnership rather than a one-off order — the program has run continuously since 2005, with each container following the same disciplined sequence.
The North American stone surfaces distributor places their first quartz vanity top program with Apexstone. After the initial sample and audit rounds, we become their exclusive designated quartz countertop manufacturer in China.
More than ten customer-developed colours are maintained across repeat orders. Every colour goes through multiple pre-production sample rounds, and any batch that does not meet the agreed standard is redone until the customer signs off.
Tops are cut to width from 31.5 to 73.5 inches in 2cm and 3cm quartz, with single and double undermount layouts, Eased, Full Bullnose and Ogee edges, and CNC faucet and sink cutouts. The edge profiles are then wet-polished on the factory line.
Every single top is inspected by hand before it leaves the line, and the inner edges of all sink cutouts are hand-polished to a smooth, glossy finish as part of the inspection pass. Anything below standard is held back and remade.
Approved tops are fully foam-wrapped, secured on pallets, and packed into fumigated timber crates built for repeated handling and ocean freight.
The crates are loaded and secured inside one 40-foot high-cube container — around 26,800 kg nett of finished vanity tops — and dispatched for ocean freight to North America.
